En el año 1995, en un pequeño cuarto adaptado como cabina en el barrio El Campo, Marco Antonio
Ramírez Melgar, un apasionado de la radio, pero sin ninguna experiencia en medios, tuvo una visión
clara: crear una red de emisoras que diera voz a los pueblos de Honduras.
Comenzó con una sola emisora comunitaria, Radio Patria, que transmitía noticias locales, música
folklórica y mensajes sociales. Gracias al apoyo de líderes comunales y pequeños empresarios, la
emisora ganó popularidad rápidamente.
Durante los primeros 5 años, Circuito Radial Hondureño fue creciendo a pulso, adquiriendo
frecuencias en municipios apartados, muchas veces donde no llegaba ni la señal telefónica. Su lema:
“Si hay una comunidad, debe haber una voz” se convirtió en su motor.
Para el año 2010, ya contaban con 25 emisoras. En 2020 lanzaron su propia app móvil para streaming,
y en 2023, con 39 radios al aire, se convirtieron en uno de los circuitos más influyentes del país.
A pesar de los avances tecnológicos, Circuito Radial Hondureño mantiene su esencia: estar cerca de
